Joining the Team: Ronald G. Brandon

Ronald G. Brandon II, is coordinator of the Investigations Unit of the Minneapolis Department of Civil Rights, one of the most well known local administrative law agencies in the United States. He heads up the preparation of administrative law decisions and sees to the day to day operations of the Complaint Investigations Unit. The Investigations Unit processes on average 450 charges of discrimination under federal, state and local law per year. Seventy percent of the charges involve the investigation of allegations of employment discrimination.

He has worked for the Department of the Navy Office of the Comptroller General and for Naval Air Systems Command. Core areas of concentration were business contract negotiations, contract compliance and affirmative action compliance. He founded Research First in 1993 a legal research company targeted toward small to medium-sized law firms unable to afford associates to perform on-line legal research.

Brandon is a certified mediator with both U.S. Arbitration & Mediation of Minnesota and the U.S. Department of Justice, a union steward for AFSCME Council 5, a board member for the National Association of Human Rights Workers, chair of the City of Golden Valley Human Rights Commission, and a gubernatorial appointee to the State Council of Black Minnesotans. Brandon holds a Juris Doctorate degree from Texas Southern University
